Course Details
Approximately 18 months to complete the programme, depending on flight scheduling and the student’s availability.

Advanced ground school, practical flight training on the Guimbal Cabri G2, and operational exercises designed to develop the knowledge, flying skills, and professional competence required to obtain your Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) in accordance with EASA standards.
Modules Required to Become a Commercial Helicopter Pilot
To become a commercial helicopter pilot, you will complete a structured modular training pathway designed to progressively develop your knowledge, flying skills, and operational competence.
Each stage combines ground school and practical flight training, enabling you to gain the licences and ratings required to begin a professional career in the helicopter industry.
The first step into the world of helicopter aviation. The PPL(H) allows you to fly a helicopter for private, non-commercial purposes and provides the foundation for progressing to the professional modules required to obtain a Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter).
Advanced theoretical training covering all the subjects required for professional helicopter pilot training, providing the knowledge needed to progress towards a Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) and future ATPL(H) qualifications.
A dedicated phase focused on accumulating the flight hours required to progress through the professional training pathway, while developing flying experience, operational competence, flight management, and situational awareness.
Develop the instrument flying skills required to operate under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) through the Basic Instrument Rating (BIR), enhancing operational competence and flight precision.
Build the essential skills required to operate a helicopter under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), with a focus on navigation, flight planning, and safe operational decision-making.
Complete dedicated theoretical and practical training to obtain the Night Rating, qualifying you to operate helicopters during night-time conditions.
The final stage of the modular training pathway, leading to the successful completion of the CPL(H) Skill Test and the issue of the Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter), allowing you to begin your professional career as a commercial helicopter pilot.

- Minimum age: 18 years to obtain the CPL(H) licence
